Great race this year with Torre claiming the Palio dell'Annunziata with jockey Andrea Mari (a.k.a. Brio) on Morosita Prima horse. After a long and exacerbating mossa of nearly one hour, finally the race starts and we see Brio leading the pack, with a final battle with Onda at the last Casato bend. Well deserved victory for Torre! Last time Torre won was 16th August 2005.
In August Selva gets all the pride and glory with the jockey Giovanni Atzeni (a.k.a. Tittia) on Polonski horse. Tittia is now an experienced jockey with his 5th victory and he leads this race with great passion and concentration, always in first position throughout the race. Last time Selva got the Palio was July 2010
